Very Bad Chemical Odor
I was so looking forward to receiving these shoes for an upcoming trip. When they arrived I could smell the odor before even opening the box. It was a very strong chemical smell. I tried airing them outside for a couple of days but this did nothing to alleviate the smell. They fit great and would have been perfect for my trip but I couldn’t stand the smell and was concerned that whatever was causing it wouldn’t be good for me. I know times are tough in the quality control department, but I’m disappointed Abeo let something like this be shipped to a customer.
Velcro deprived
I really wanted this walking sandal. I’ ve been incredibly happy with the support on the sandals by ABEO, but these sandals fall short. While the support is still there, the Velcro is too short for any real adjustment and the sandal is wide. It’s labeled as medium width, but really it’s not. In short: - needs enough Velcro to actually adjust the sandal - needs to be labeled as “wide” - this company needs to offer free returns if they want to compete with other online shoe stores.
This shoe is not like my Previous Paula
I first purchased the Paula in 2019 and it has been a wonderful shoe, comfortable and rugged and even great for golf. I decided to purchase a new one and this Paula II is a terrible replacement. One can see that it is cheaply made and my feet start to hurt after an hour of wear. Unfortunately I can not return them or I would. Very sorry to see such a substandard shoe from your company. I buy your shoes because you offer metatarsals in the shoe bed and this is a wonderful thing so I am very disappointed in this new purchase.
most comfortable
Right out of the box, the most comfortable sandals I've ever had. The arch support is perfect. All previous sandals I've bought have required me to add some sort of padded arch support, but not these. Buying a second pair now.
