Love the Look -Hate the 2nd non-functional fake zipper!
So sad, I bought these for my mother, she loved the look, and indicated she would keep them. However a month or so later, I asked why she was not wearing her new boots? Thats when she told me the problem, a fake / non functional zipper on the outside, though a cute feature making it work for your older, less agile wearer would have made a huge difference in the narrow ankle style. Though they showed 2 zippers, 1 on each side, just 1 was functional, making the boots so HARD to put on, I would say impossible for my mom, so she gave them back :(. Thankfully we are the same size, but I did not need boots, but am stuck with them as too much time passed from time of purchase, before she told me exactly why she could not wear her new boots.
Most comfortable boot
I have a hard time finding shoes that are comfortable let alone boots. These are great! They are comfortable and look wonderful!
I love these boots! They are very comfortable. I bought them in the wine color with the snake design its very flattering. I have plantar fasciatis that flairs up every so often and I didn't have a problem at all. I wore these shopping in the mall for a few hours and was fine. I didn't have to break them in plenty of toe space.
Not up to Abeo comfort standards
I really wanted to love these boots. I have hypermobility syndrome and it's so hard to find footwear with proper arch support and cushioning. I've had success with the Yasmin, the Mila, and the Maya. I share the previous reviewers critiques. The metatarsal insert doesn't provide any cushion and the sole of the shoe itself seems to be made of a much more rigid material with a rubber outer layer. There is not enough shock absorption. The fit was good when I tried these on and I didn't realize how hard the soles were, so I had already worn them outside before I realized I couldn't wear them without pain. The rigid upper also rubbed against my ankles and made them ache. I paid full price for these, and only wore them once. I wish Abeo had been more consistent with their standard, here.
The leather is soft and the more I wear the better they get. The metatarsal orthotic is wonderful for my feet and for any one with problem feet.
